  • Free Delivery: Spend R999 or more and your shipping is on us! This applies to both Local and Overseas warehouse items.

  • Rate Adjustments: Please note that shipping fees are subject to adjustment based on fuel surcharges, carrier rate changes, or currency fluctuations. Your final shipping cost will be confirmed at checkout.

  • Service Area: We strictly provide delivery within South Africa only. We do not ship to international addresses outside of SA borders.

📦 Understanding Your Shipment

Split Deliveries

To get your items to you as fast as possible, orders containing both local and overseas stock may be shipped in separate packages. You will receive unique tracking numbers for each shipment.

Whether it’s coming from Johannesburg or our international hubs, we partner with South Africa’s most reliable couriers (including The Courier Guy, SkyNet, or Aramex) to ensure a safe and professional final-mile delivery.

❓ Delivery FAQ: Missed Shipments & More

What happens if I’m not home when the courier arrives? Don't worry! Our courier partners typically make two or three delivery attempts.

  • Notification: You will usually receive an SMS or a call from the driver when they are nearby.

  • Re-scheduling: If you miss the first attempt, the courier will automatically try again the next business day.

  • Collection Points: In some cases, if delivery fails multiple times, the parcel may be held at a local depot for 5-7 days for you to collect before it is returned to our warehouse.

Can someone else sign for my R999+ Free Delivery? Yes. Anyone at your designated delivery address (security guards, receptionists, or family members) can sign for the package. Please ensure they check that the parcel is sealed and undamaged before signing.

Will I be charged if the item is returned to the warehouse? If a package is returned to uBuySA because it was not collected or multiple delivery attempts failed, we may need to charge a re-delivery fee to send it back out to you, even if the original order qualified for Free Shipping.

Can I change my delivery address after the order is placed? Because we aim for fast dispatch, we can only update addresses if the order has not yet left our warehouse. Please contact hello@ubuysa.com immediately if you notice an error in your details.

Does Free Shipping (R999+) cover all of South Africa? Yes! We offer free shipping to all major hubs and regional areas across South Africa for orders over R999. However, extremely remote locations may occasionally incur a "surcharge" if specified by our courier partners at checkout.

  1. Work Address: If you aren't home during the day, we highly recommend using your office or work address for delivery.

  2. Special Instructions: Use the "Order Notes" at checkout to let us know if there is a specific gate code or if the parcel should be left with a specific neighbor.
